Nikki Haley says Trump’s Middle East peace plan is nearly finished

“The plan won’t be loved by either side and it won’t be hated by either side, but it’s a template to start talking,” Nikki Haley told an audience at the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics.

She added that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, as well as his special representative for international negotiations, Jason Greenblatt, were “finishing up” the proposal.

When pressed whether the plan would support a two-state solution, Haley said it would be up for the Israelis and Palestinians to decide.

“We’re just going to support whatever they decide they want to do,” she said.
