Trump Jr. arrives in India to promote family’s real estate projects

Trump Jr., the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, will endorse the swanky condos in the Trump Towers, coming up in the satellite city of Gurugram on the outskirts of New Delhi. As part of the marketing campaign, he will dine with buyers of the high-rise apartments.

A series of full-page advertisements in prominent Indian dailies invited investors to buy homes in the Trump Towers for a dinner date with Trump Jr. on Friday (February 23). Critics in the United States have raised the potential conflict-of-interest associated with such inducements.

Trump Towers Delhi is a three-way venture between Gurugram based M3M India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai based Tribeca Developers and the Trumps. The first lot of apartments put up for sale would cost between 50 million to 100 million rupees ($783,500 – $1.567 million), a princely amount in India.

Trump Jr. will also meet business leaders and deliver a speech on foreign policy at a summit that will be attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit.
