Australian team prepares to head to Johannesburg amid ball tampering scandal

Johannesburg is the venue for the next test against South Africa, one captain Steve Smith will miss while he serves an ICC-imposed one-match ban for admitting conspiring to tamper with the ball during the third test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said he would be heading to South Africa later on Monday to join integrity chief Iain Roy, who is conducting an investigation into the incident and to decide any repercussions for the players involved.
