French president woos Indian students in New Delhi

Macron encouraged the young minds to pursue higher studies in France. He claimed it to be an ideal destination for education with opportunities in plethora of dimensions like humanities, science, and mathematics where language won’t be a barrier with introduction of the curriculum in English.

Macron, who is on a four-day visit to the country also stressed on more solar energy saying that it was the best way of providing opportunities to the people directly and being complaint with climate change.

Earlier in the day Macron called on the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and held bilateral talks.

India and France signed contracts worth 13 billion euros ($16 billion), earlier in the day. The deals included a contract for France’s Safran to supply airline Spice Jet with engines, water system modernization by Suez in the southern city of Davangere and a contract between industrial gas company Air Liquide and Sterlite.
