Woman dies after jumping from Sydney Tower Eye

According to local media the woman who was taking part in the Sky Walk guided tour, where visitors step out onto an open-air platform for views of the city, was agitated and threatening self harm, then unclipped her safety harness.

Police are investigating how the woman managed to free herself from the safety harness.

Owner Merlin Entertainments Group posted on the Sydney Tower Eye Twitter account that “following an incident, the attraction has been closed until further notice.”
