Pakistan envoy pays obeisance at holiest shrine of Sikhism in India

Mahmood paid obeisance and penned down his experience in the visitor’s book. This is my first formal visit and I will cherish this experience forever, said Mahmood.

Golden Temple, also known as ‘Sri Harmandir Sahib’, is a revered spiritual site of Sikhism and is thronged by close to 100,000 devotees on a daily basis.

Local media reported that Mahmood met with chief ministers of Punjab and neighboring Haryana province earlier in the day.

Mahmood was appointed as the high commissioner to India in August 2017.
