Driver setting fire to van

A video from surveillance cameras provided by De Telegraaf on Tuesday (June 26) showed someone setting fire to a van after driving it into the head office of the Dutch newspaper.

The white van crashed into the glass facade of the Telegraaf building on the outskirts of Amsterdam around 4 a.m. (0200 GMT).

Police said no one was injured because the building was empty at the time of the crash besides one security guard.

The driver of the van escaped in a different car, most likely with an accomplice, leaving both suspects unidentified and at large on Tuesday morning.

De Telegraaf is the largest daily paper in the Netherlands specialising in sports and crime reporting.
