Singapore gets ready for Trump-Kim summit

Over 60 of Fort Siloso’s cannons were decorated with white liliums, pink and champaign eustomas, gerberas and olives which symbolise various aspects of peace.

Outside the Capella hotel in Sentosa island where the summit on June 12 will be held, several tourists took photos of the hotel sign in anticipation of the meeting.

One tourist said they were expecting tighter security in the coming days, but hoped the summit will have good results.

Ahead of the summit, Singapore’s Home Affairs Minister K. Shanumgam said security measures were in place for a successful summit.

Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un are set to have a historic meeting, with talks on denuclearisation of North Korea in exchange for economic help will be on the table.
