Six dead in helicopter crash in Nepal, company representative says

One woman survived the crash and was being transported to the nearest helipad.

Kathmandu Airport confirmed seven people, including a pilot, were on board of a chopper flying from Gorkha district when it crashed in forest area in Dhading district, about 24 kilometers (15 miles) from Nepalese capital.

Police said bad weather and dense forest at the crash site impeded their efforts to recover the bodies.

Small aircrafts flying to remote and dusty airstrips in Nepal are common modes of transport in the country’s mountainous regions that lack proper roads and can be reached only on foot.
