Pakistan says both militaries working to ascertain the whereabouts of abducted Iranian guards

A group of Iranian security personnel was kidnapped on the border with Pakistan on Tuesday (October 16).

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Faisal said the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Iran spoke on the phone on Wednesday (October 17) and both militaries were working to ascertain the whereabouts of the Iranians.

An Iranian separatist group called Jaish al-Adl said it had seized the personnel to avenge the oppression of Sunni Muslims in the area.
