Pakistani foreign minister Qureshi meets with Pompeo at the State Department

The Trump administration wants the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan to adopt aggressive measures that blunt the influence of the Afghan Taliban on the Pakistani side of the Afghan border.

Qureshi met U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton at the White House and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at the State Department. He was also due on Wednesday to meet key members of Congress and to deliver remarks at the United States Institute of Peace think tank.
