Pompeo arrives in S.Korea after nuclear talks in N.Korea

A U.S. government plane carrying Pompeo’s delegation landed at the Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, at around 5:15 p.m. (0815 GMT).

Pompeo was scheduled to meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in at 1000 GMT in Seoul before holding talks with his counterpart Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, according to Moon’s office.

Shortly after arriving in South Korea following the visit, Pompeo posted a photo of himself walking along with Kim on Twitter, saying: “Had a good trip to #Pyongyang to meet with Chairman Kim. We continue to make progress on agreements made at Singapore Summit. Thanks for hosting me and my team @StateDept.”
