HFD respond to house fire

Houston fire department responded to a House Fire last night and found a one-story home with heavy flames coming from a two car garage.  The fire had spread into the attic, but thankfully firefighters were able to put the fire out.

District chief James Pennington spoke on the situation when HFD arrived

We learned there was a family of five home at the time.  Two adults and three children.  A neighbor who saw the smoke and flames ran over and banged on the front door, waking the family up just in time.

Luckily everyone got out safely but one puppy inside the home did not make it.
