Suspect appears in court for fatally shooting man

We now know the identity of the suspect who shot and killed a man after the victim became intoxicated and refused to leave his girlfriends apartment. 

Edwin Avila appeared in court over night and is now charged with murder.

The incident happened early Monday morning when a woman asked the drunk man to leave and he refused and started beating on her car causing some damage. That’s when she called Avila, the father of her child, to help her. 

Avila showed up and got into it with the victim then pulled out a gun and shot him in the head before running away.

The victim later died at the hospital.
