Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1300 Redford

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 1300 Redford about 8:15 p.m. on Monday (February 18).

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Lopez and I. Ulloa reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found the victim lying next to a vehicle in the complex’s parking lot.  He was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

A witness stated the victim and another male exchanged gunfire before the other male fled the scene on foot while carrying a pistol.  An unknown model sedan, possibly with three males inside, was also seen fleeing the scene.
