Rams and Patriots fans predict scores ahead of Super Bowl LIII

Both sets of fans seemed in high spirits and were confident that their team would come out on top in a game that could see New England head coach Bill Belichick claim a record sixth title.

A dominant force in the National Football League (NFL) for much of the last two decades, the Patriots are playing in a third consecutive title game and the fourth in five years, while it’s 17 years to the day since the Rams last Super Bowl appearance – a 20-17 defeat by the Patriots.

That game in February 2002 marked the first of the Patriots’ five league championships – all achieved under the stewardship of Belichick, who has overseen the Massachusetts franchise since 2000.

In contrast to the consistency experienced in New England, the Rams are onto their eighth head coach since that Super Bowl defeat and have made the move back to California from St. Louis, Missouri, where they were based between 1995 and 2016.

However, the franchise will be looking to clinch it’s second-ever Super Bowl following a 13-3 record in the regular season as Sean McVay makes history as the youngest-ever head coach in the showcase game.
