Tony Buzbee holds campaign rally

By: Paige Hubbard

Last night Mayoral candidate Tony Buzbee kicked off his first official campaign rally.

Dozens of supporters poured into the Cadillac bar in the heights, to hear what Buzbee had to say.

Some thought he was going to cancel the rally due to the robbery that occurred at his home earlier this week, but clearly, that was not the case.

In the press conference, Buzbee gave a detailed account on what exactly happened.

“I was robbed this morning by at least two individuals that came into my home, in my private sanctuary, if we can’t be safe in our homes where can we be safe,” said Buzbee with high emotion.

He continued by saying,

“Crime has no zip code and none of us are immune, we better do something about the crime in this town, I’m sitting there with a loaded weapon, not wanting to shoot anyone,” Buzbee ended.

Tony did not take questions from reporters after the rally; however NTV Houston caught up with him at a separate event the following day.

Here’s an exclusive interview on what he had to say when asked about last night’s rally.

“If you just looked out into the crowed passed the cameras, there were people for as far as you can see, people were engaged and people were excited,” said Buzbee.
