Massive tank fire breaks out at Texas plant

Firefighters in Deer Park, Texas battled a giant blaze on Sunday afternoon (March 17) after a tank fire broke out at the Intercontinental Terminals Company. City officials warned residents to shelter in place as the uncontrolled fire sent plumes of thick, dark smoke into the sky. No injuries have been reported. The fire that started at 10 am local time (1500gmt) was still burning four hours later and showed no signs of being contained. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
