Trump calls Apple CEO Tim Cook ‘Tim Apple’

Trump addressed Cook as Tim ‘Apple’ during a meeting of CEOs of major corporations who attended a Trump administration advisory board on workforce issues. Executives from companies including Apple, IBM Corp, Lockheed Martin Corp, Siemens USA and Home Depot Inc. were in attendance.

Cook, who sat to the right of the president, showed no apparent reaction to the faux pas and continued to nod in response to Trump’s comments on the U.S. labor forces.

Trump has famously coined nicknames for several of his critics and former political rivals including senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, but this is the first time he has been heard calling Cook by a different name.
