Fiery multi-vehicle crash near Denver, Colorado

Local news stations said tractor trailer trucks and other vehicles were involved in the crash along Interstate 70 southwest of Denver and news aerials from the scene showed some of the vehicles completely engulfed in flames.

The West Metro Fire Rescue which services Lakewood said on its Twitter page that its crews were working the scene and that that there were at least two injuries.

Footage from the scene showed lumber strewn about the highway, possibly adding fuel to the inferno.

The local Fox news affiliate said the impacted section of highway had been closed in both directions.
