Fort Bend County Judge KP George Leads Sri Lankan Prayer Vigil at Sugar Land Town Square

 On Sunday, April 28, 2019, Fort Bend County Judge KP George held, organized, and lead a prayer vigil in support of the Sri Lankan Community who were devastated by the Easter bombings that mainly centered in and around Colombo which targeted churches and hotels.  The Prayer Vigil event occurred on the steps of Sugar Land City Hall and began at 7:00 p.m.

A number of local dignitaries and religious representatives from the Christian, Jewish, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim faiths rallied in solidarity to stand up against terrorism.“United We Stand & Divided We Fall. I want to let the world know that here in Fort Bend, we are united at every level against all hatred and bigotry. Through the unity of our religious leaders and public officials, we stand with the Sri Lankan community and all affected communities.” stated Fort Bend County Judge KP George.
