Samsung starts to sell its 5G mobile phones

Samsung started to sell its Galaxy S10 5G at 07:00 local time. At a large phone store in Seoul, about 50 residents waited out the store before the sales started.

The Galaxy S10 5G has a larger screen and four cameras on the back, giving its users a better experience in taking photos and other entertainment activities.

The top-tier model of the Galaxy S10 is priced at 1.39 million won (about 1,225 U.S. dollars) to 1.55 million won (about 1,370 U.S. dollars) based on its storage capacity, which is about 25 percent to 30 percent more expensive than 4G mobile phones.

The package price for a subscriber of 5G mobile service is about 20 percent higher than that for 4G mobile service.

“I’m going to use the 5G phone to take pictures and upload video… Though its package price is not cheap, I’m still willing to pay for it as long as I can get more service,” said a consumer.

About of 30,000 sets of the Galaxy S10 5G were sold on the first day, a good result compared with the average sales of 50,000 sets of other smart phones in a day.
