K-pop star Seungri arrives in court for arrest warrant hearing

The 28-year-old singer, who was member of South Korea’s top boy band BIGBANG, is under investigation for paying for prostitutes in return for favours from foreign businessmen at a club. He is also accused of embezzlement at another club he was involved with until last year.

Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, has denied all wrong doing, but resigned from his position as a member of the boy band BIGBANG.

Seungri made his official debut in August 2006 along with the group’s other four members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang and Daesung. It has drawn many fans across Asia from places such as Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Taiwan.
