The met gala is undeniably one of the biggest nights in fashion hosted at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.
This year’s theme was camp. Now, this may put some in the mind of tie die shirts and camouflage pants but that’s not what Susan Sontag meant in her 1664 essay called “Camp: Notes on Fashion.”
Camp is about basking in the fabulousness, irony, and humor of being extra. To put it simply, it’s about having fun and going all out while embracing the art of self-expression through fashion.

Lady Gaga took the theme to a whole new level with four outfit changes and a 16-minute entrance outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year’s ball was co-chaired by Lady Gaga, Serena Williams and Harry Styles, along with Gucci designer Alessandro Michele and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Cardi B received great reviews on her over the top outfit that took over 2,000 hours and 35 people to make. The Grammy award-winning artist needed 5 helpers to hold her gown.
