U.S. President Trump meets Japanese PM at golf course

Trump was greeted by Abe when he arrived and the two went off in a golf cart driven Abe. The two leaders will spend the morning on the course with professional golfer Isao Aoki, whom Trump has praised in the past.

After golf, Trump and Abe are scheduled to fly back to Tokyo and attend a sumo match in the afternoon, where Trump will present the “Trump Cup” to the winner of the match and then have dinner at a local restaurant.

Trump arrived in Japan on Saturday(May 25) for a largely ceremonial state visit meant to showcase strong ties even though trade relations are problematical.
