New York jewelry store heist caught on camera

Surveillance footage shows three armed men, initially pretending to be customers, ordering employees to get down on the floor. Four men were tied up at Avianne & Co. Jewelers in Midtown Manhattan’s diamond district.

The workers were tied up with zip ties and duct tape and the suspects dumped the jewelry into a duffel bag before running away — no one was injured, according to police.

Eli Arieh, who said he spoke to one of the workers at a nearby restaurant after the robbery, said the worker said the men got away with more than $4 million (USD) in jewelry. Police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspects.
