Arrested man body-slammed to the pavement in Chicago

Chicago police is investigating the case of a 29-year-old man body-slammed to the pavement during an arrest the evening of Thanksgiving (November 29) in Chicago.

According to local media, the police officer allergy performed an emergency takedown after the arrested threatened and spat him on the face.

The unidentified man ended up in the hospital and was released on Friday (November 29), expected to be charged. 

“The matter is under investigation by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA). It is my expectation that the investigation will be comprehensive and expedited so that the public may gain a complete picture of what happened”. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightoot tweeted.
