Bollywood Celebrities Condemn JNU Attack

Bollywood celebrities such as Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Kritika Kamra, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and more join voices with students and condemn the shameful attack on JNU Students and professors in Delhi.
Several men with faces covered, who identified themselves as “nationalists and supporters of ABVP”, gathered outside the North Gate of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Sunday evening, holding sticks and rods, and raising “Bharat Mata ki Jai” slogans. The group attacked students and professors, injuring them badly.
Bollywood celebrities took to their social media profiles and slammed the act and urged people to join forces against goons.
Actress Taapsee Pannu wrote, “Such is the condition inside what we consider to be a place where our future is shaped. It’s getting scarred forever. Irreversible damage. What kind of shaping up is happening here, it’s there for us to see….saddening”
Actress Sonam K Ahuja shared, “Shocking disgusting and cowardly. Have the balls to at least show your face when you want to attack innocents.”
Swara Bhasker who has been very vocal about the whole incident from the starting, took to her social media and thanked everyone for the support. She wrote, “My mom is safe. JNU is peaceful for now & the gates are open! Eternal gratitude to the citizen protestors of Delhi who showed up at JNU main gate earlier tonight- you saved JNU! Thanks to the media & reporters who risked their own safety & showed us what terror was unleashed 2day”
Actress Kritika Kamra slammed the media wrote, “Urban naxals, tukde-tukde gang, anti-nationals, mughalon ki aulaad, desh ke gaddaron ko goli maaro saalon ko…Where have you heard these terms and slogans before? It’s no rocket science to figure who these “miscreants” inside and outside #JNU are. Stop making excuses now. Enough.”
After Jamia and AMU incident, this is the most brutal state sponsored attack on JNU students.
