1 dead after Waller ISD bus crash

HOCKLEY, TX – One person has been declared dead after crashing into a Waller Independent School District bus. The fatal crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on FM Road 2920 at Hunters Creek Way.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office tweeted out that a driver of a car and septic truck initially crashed, but then the car hit the bus. The driver of the car died at the scene.

Waller ISD officials say all students aboard were reported safe and their families are being contacted. The bus was headed to Evelyn Turlington Elementary School. Roads in the area are temporarily closed off for further investigation.
