Gessner club shooting

HOUSTON, TX – An investigation is underway following a shooting that took place at the 5700 block of Gessner Rd around 3:17 a.m. this morning.

Police reports say the incident started after two groups got into an argument inside club Karma in which they were then kicked out. The argument escalated to the parking lot of the club where one person opened fire at the other group striking a male in the knee.

The shooter and his group left the scene following the shooting. The other group stayed at the scene. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.

Investigators say neither storyline added up from persons within the victims’ group. They stated there were inconsistencies in their line of events that took place; starting with them telling the police the suspects open fired from across the street of the club, although a gun casing was located within the parking lot.
