Major motorcycle accident

HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Department worked to investigate a motorcycle crash that took place Monday night. Deputies say a male rider sustained severe head injuries following the crash that took place shortly after 8:00 p.m.

The driver was headed westbound on E Mount Houston and Hirsch Rd. when he didn’t see a truck stopped at a red light ahead of him. The rider hit his brakes causing him to skid and slide onto the side of the bike. The rear of his bike collided with the back hitch of the pickup truck still parked at the light.

According to investigators, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time. His age or name has not been released, only that he is an black male.
