Male body found in a field on Bartell Rd.

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at 8410 W. Bartell Rd. Sunday morning. The body of a young male was found in a field with several gunshot wounds. Police were contacted around 8 a.m. after the discovery at the intersection of Westridge St. and Bartell Dr.

Investigators believe the male got into an altercation with another male who they say got out of his car and shot the young male approximately five times. The victim attempted to run for aid across the street but collapsed behind the apartment complex.

The victim is described as a black male in his 20s to 30s. Police have not made any arrests related to this incident.
