Man on the run after a car chase and crash

HOUSTON, TX – A search is in effect for a driver who fled following a car chase early Wednesday morning. The Houston Police Department initially located a stolen vehicle around 3:20 a.m. near Dolly Wright Street. in which they said they made an attempt to perform a standard traffic stop. The driver of the truck failed to yield to the officer initiating a brief pursuit.

The white pickup truck was also hauling an open trailer at the time. The driver crashed at the corner of Dolly Wright St. and Charlie St., which then the driver fled the scene on foot.

No update has been made on an official arrest, but K9 units will assist in the perimeter search.
