Mexico confirms 2 cases of Coronavirus


MEXICO CITY – Mexico’s assistant health secretary has confirmed two cases of the new coronavirus. 

Hugo Lopez-Gatell says that one patient in Mexico City and another in Sinaloa have both contracted the virus, but neither are in the fatal stages of it. 

One of the patients says they may have gotten the virus from coming in recent contact with another person traveling from a northern Italian region. On Wednesday, Brazil confirmed its first outbreak from a man who had traveled to Italy earlier this month.

Both patients have been placed in isolation until they are properly treated.
