Five shoplifters wanted

BAYTOWN, TX – An off-duty police officer was outnumbered when five female shoplifting suspects bum-rushed her as they took multiple bags of fragrances from a supply store in Baytown.

The Baytown Police Department released a statement saying the female officer involved did not sustain any injuries during her attempt to stop the group of females at Ulta Beauty Supply in the 6300 block of Garth Road Monday evening.

The suspects are believed to be between the ages of 16 and 17 years old. All were African American and the majority were wearing shower caps at the time of the incident.

The young suspects entered the store and began placing multiple perfumes into shopping bags. The group of teens are then seen on a witness video phone rushing out of the store and getting into a white four-door sedan before speeding out the parking lot.

On Tuesday, HPD released photos captured from store surveillance cameras of the shoplifting suspects as well as the video footage recorded.

Anyone with information on who these suspects are being asked to please contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 281-420-6646 or Baytown Crimestoppers at 281-427-8477.
