Houston area Coronavirus count increases

HOUSTON- The Houston Health Department is reporting a second case of the COVID 19 virus found in Houston. Two more patients from the northwest Harris County area have tested positive Thursday evening. This brings the number to six within the Houston city limits.

According to officials, all discoveries of this virus have been related to the same group of travelers who visited Egypt recently.

Harris County officials announced that a female staff member from Rice University tested positive and a male between 60 and 70 years of age is being considered presumptive positive.

Both patients are being hospitalized for further analysis. An investigation will take place to identify all possible contacts exposed to this virus.
