Precinct 7 deputy hospitalized following intersection crash

MISSOURI CITY –  A Harris County Precinct 7 sergeant was rushed to the hospital following a two-car crash early Sunday morning. 

According to dispatchers, the call was made around 3:30 a.m. to the Missouri City area near the intersection of Hillcroft Ave and Beltway 8.

The driver of a Ford Expedition T-boned a sergeant in his squad car.

Both drivers were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for their injuries. The deputy was last reported to be going in and out of consciousness on his way to the ER according to officials.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered lacerations to his face. He was tested and later arrested for DWI.

No names have been released on either person involved.
