CYPRESS – An investigation is underway in northwest Harris County after a woman shoots a man she mistook as an intruder to her home.
According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Captain John Shannon, the shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. The woman informed deputies that she shot the intruder out of panic because she was not expecting any company.
Later learning it was her male friend visiting. He was shot in his upper torso area.
She was taken into custody for further questioning. No names have been released of those involved and no charges have been filed.
The victim is expected to survive his injuries.
