HOUSTON, TX – Houston Public Works say more than 100,000 gallons of wastewater spilled into at least five locations throughout Houston on Tuesday following significant levels of rain from Tropical Storm Beta.

Houston sustained about 10 inches of rain in the last 24 hours resulted in wastewater spills at the following locations:

  • 1424 Wrightwood St.
  • 1222 Wrightwood St.
  • 800 Commerce St.
  • 308 Washington Ave.
  • 201 Girard St.

Houston Public Works confirms the water is still safe to drink and does not need to be boiled. However, they will continue to monitor the situation.
