Nomaan Husain Appointed to Board for Harris County Sport’s Authority

The South Asian Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the appointment of our dear friend, former Chamber President, and current Chairman of the Board and Advisory Board, Mr. Nomaan Husain to the Houston-Harris County Sport’s Authority!

Sport’s Authority Board Chairman J. Kent Friedman welcomed Nomaan’s appointment, saying, “I am incredibly excited to welcome Nomaan to our board. His commitment to public service and sharp understanding of complex legal and business processes will bring great value to the Board’s work overseeing these important public venues. His services will be a real asset to both the City and the County, and I am delighted to have him join us.”

The Sport’s Authority is the oversight board that manages Harris County’s sports venues including Reliant Stadium, Toyota Center, BBVA Stadium, and numerous other public sporting venues. The Authority is overseen by an all-volunteer board with members appointed by the Mayor and Houston City Council, as well as the Harris County Commissioner’s Court.

Nomaan has been an integral part of the Chamber’s success. He held numerous leadership roles through his extensive service on our Board of Directors, including five terms as Chamber President and four terms as Chairman of the Board. Most recently Nomaan has led the Chamber’s Advisory Board. In addition to his commitments to the South Asian Chamber of Commerce, Nomi is an accomplished trial attorney and founder of the firm Husain Law + Associates. He was selected by his peers as a SuperLawyer, a prestigious title given only to the top 5% of attorneys, in the field of Personal Injury.

“Nomi has been a pillar of not only the South Asian business community, but also the wider Houston community as well. His broad knowledge and incredible history of service will make him an excellent addition to the Houston Harris County Sport’s Authority,” said current SACC President, Sohail Hassan.
