Trump tweets that any Iran attack will be met with ‘1,000 times greater’ response

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday (September 14) tweeted that Iran would be met with a “1,000 greater’ response if it were to attack the United States in retaliation for the drone strikes that killed Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani.

The Jan. 3 killing of Soleimani at Baghdad airport prompted Iran to retaliate with missile strikes against U.S. forces in Iraq days later and almost triggered a broad war between the two countries.

Trump was seen returning to the White House in the early hours of Tuesday (September 15) after visiting California and Arizona.
