“Mr Vice President, I’m speaking,” Harris responds to Pence interruption

The debate between Vice President Mike Pence and challenger Kamala Harris became heated on Wednesday (October 7), after Pence interrupted Harris during her time to speak on tax cuts.

“Mr. Vice President, I’m speaking,” Harris said. Pence continued to speak.

Pence and challenger Harris greeted each other at a distance at the start of their debate in Salt Lake City, Utah, a visual reminder that the coronavirus pandemic remains the dominant issue in the U.S. presidential race.
