HOUSTON, TX – Houston Mayor, Sylvester Turner is still considering instituting a curfew after San Antonio issued a curfew for its residents yesterday effective through Monday, November 30.
Recent peaks in COVID-19 cases have triggered great concern as San Antonio issued a mandatory curfew yesterday.
Turner says he is “watching the numbers carefully” and that his decision will be made based on the people’s overall behaviors over time.
He emphasized that local bars and clubs should limit the number of customers allowed in establishments and encourages the use of face coverings and proper social distancing.
San Antonio residents will be subject to a $1,000 fine if they neglect to follow rules.
