FBISD expands mental health program

FORT BEND, TX – Fort Bend ISD, the district has decided to expand its mental health program in order to enhance student safety and overall wellness.

Three student support specialists from the non-profit, ‘Communities in Schools of Houston (CSI)’ will assist at Arizona Fleming, Blue Ridge, and Ridgegate elementary schools.

The 41-year-old organization has been helping out in the Houston-area for years, notable with Christa McAuliffe Middle School.

The CIS specialists are embedded on school campuses year-round to provide assistance with trauma or mental health counseling.
