TikTok is celebrating the end of 2020 by highlighting their top videos of the year.
The social media company has separated the clips into 10 categories including Voices of Change: Most impactful creators, It’s The Meme For Me: Top trends, hashtags, and challenges and Vibe Check: Top viral videos which includes Nathan Apodaca in the number two spot.
Apodaca became a household name after he posted a clip of himself skateboarding to Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” The video caught the attention of over 11 million people including Fleetwood Mac singer Mick Fleetwood. Since September Apodaca has started an online clothing store and moved from his RV into a three-bedroom home.
A 15-second clip launched creator Bella Poarch into the top spot of the most watched viral videos with 43.2 million views. In August, Poarch posted a video of herself lip-syncing to Millie B’s song “M to the B.” Poarch has 45.4 million followers.
Near the beginning of the U.S. lockdowns in May TikTok creator Caitlin Reilly depicted “the person will all love to hate” on work Zoom calls as people adjusted to working from home. Her clip has amassed over 615,000 views and landed her in the third spot.
Will Smith’s “Wipe it Down” video snagged the number five spot on the viral list.
Celebrities Jason Derulo, Kylie Jenner and Lizzo are the top three a-list celebs on the platform.
