HOUSTON – A suspect was taken into custody after leading Houston police on a lengthy high-speed chase early Friday morning.
The chase started around 1 a.m when an officer said he was attempting to stop a grey Mustang after noticing it speeding down I-45 North near North Shepherd Street.
The driver refused to halt and sped away causing units to lose his whereabouts.
Once located again an extended pursuit took place reaching speeds of over 120 miles per hour. The pursuit continued up and down the feeder and freeway until the suspect finally surrendered on I-45 near League Line in Conroe.
His identity has not yet been released and it is still unsure of what vharges he will face. Units are working to confiscate his vehicle.
