UPDATE: Fort Bend County Health & Human Services received a supply of 5,850 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
HOUSTON – Fort Bend County officials announced they are expecting an additional shipment of COVID vaccines today from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Fort Bend County Judge KP George is unsure exactly how many doses the county will receive, but he is hoping it will be enough to cover the estimated 5,000 people who are currently on the waitlist to receive the vaccine.
George and other county health officials said they are equipped and ready to distribute at least 1,000 vaccines per day.
Fort Bend County officials said if you are already signed up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, then expect a call with more information regarding an appointment time and location once approval is given.
