Homeowner shoots intruder in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, TX – A burglary suspect was taken into custody early Friday morning after being shot by a homeowner.

Police said the shooting took place around 5 a.m. in the 200 block of Shadow Wood Drive in the Sugar Mill neighborhood.

According to the resident, she was inside her home with her 8-year-old child when she began to hear noises coming from downstairs.
