Shooting investigation on Westheimer Road

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 14027 Westheimer Road about 7 p.m. on Tuesday (January 19).

The victim, Warnoiya Hines, 19, was transported by a private vehicle to an area hospital with what are believed to be minor wounds.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective L. Thornton reported:

It is believed Ms. Hines was involved in an altercation with an unknown group of people at a fast food restaurant at the above address when she was shot.  The circumstances of the shooting are unclear, as Hines has told investigators different accounts about what happened.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
