The City of Katy Dog Park takes action on pet dumping with a new security camera

KATY, TX – The City of Katy has taken a new initiative to cut back on the excessive abandonment of dogs at the City of Katy Dog Park.

On Monday council members and Katy police chief, announced a new security camera will be installed next week (Jan. 19) to assist with efforts to crack down on illegal pet dumpings.

The camera will be placed in a location that will give police a clear vantage view of the entire park. Officers of the adjacent police station will be notified immediately when a dog is left alone by an owner.
